Intersection, the new project by Vincent Van Duysen, is a strongly expressive kitchen with sophisticated details that highlight Dada’s excellence in working with materials. Its surfaces intersect to create patterns of light and shadows, solid worktops with important customisable sections with almost imperceptible profiles or sections chiselled like sculptures.
Geometric inlays on the doors highlight the wood’s natural features and showcase the plasticity of lacquered surfaces, with a design that recalls architecture dominated by geometric proportions.
Ratio, the iconic kitchen designed by Vincent Van Duysen is now further enhanced with the introduction of some new interesting features. Metal grids define the basic architecture, wall units, columns, hoods and accessories. Full volumes, empty volumes and tops of different thicknesses are hooked to the slender and minimal techno/structural elements, creating an elegant interplay of balances. With the aim of satisfying the most demanding and sophisticated user, Ratio is enriched with new floor bases, equipped with slatted doors and internal lighting, which integrate the handles with profiles of the same thickness, designing a decorative frame that gives rhythm to its structure.
Vincent Van Duysen reinterprets the recessed handle detail in a modern and sophisticated key, working on the contrast between the slim side and end units and the considerable thickness of the worktops, which fit in, interrupting the linearity of the worktop, with stone sink bowls. The alternating materials and the interplay of solids and voids give rise to a dynamic and at once sophisticated kitchen. Generous pul l-out trays, open-ended drawers and under-top trolleys complete the project. An aluminum load-bearing structure allows compositions completely suspended from the floor. Innovation is expressed with technological details such as the built-in LED strip light, the aluminum profile that discreetly designs the door handle, improving its grip and the innovative pivot hinge that allows the door to open 180°, making the internal space more usable. The kitchen gains a new architectural look, also thanks to Briht wall units, with transparent glass doors and soft-closing micro-hinges.
